CoachClass ("CoachClass", "we", "us", or "our") provides a platform that coaching institutes use to manage batches and students, build question banks, run digital mock tests, and track fee payments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the platform, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to coachings, teachers, and students who use CoachClass.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and role (coachings, teacher, or student) when you or your coaching institute registers on CoachClass.
• Coaching profile information — the coaching institute's name, description, phone number, address, and logo, as entered by the coaching owner.
• Batch and enrollment data — batches a student is invited to or requests to join, enrollment status, and admission dates.
• Payment records — amounts, dates, and notes that a coachings manually records against a student's fee for a batch. CoachClass does not process card, UPI, or bank payments and does not collect or store payment card details; these records are a ledger the coaching institute keeps for its own bookkeeping.
• Mock test data — questions and question banks created by coaching institutes, and a student's test attempts, answers, and scores.
• Uploaded files — profile photos, coaching logos, and question images that users choose to upload.
• Usage and device data — log and session information (such as IP address, browser type, and access times) generated automatically while using the platform, used to keep your session signed in and to secure the service.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and maintain accounts, and to authenticate sign-ins.
• To let coaching institutes manage batches, students, question banks, and mock tests.
• To let coaching institutes record and track fee payments against a batch.
• To deliver mock tests to students and show them their results and performance history.
• To send account-related emails, such as email verification and invitation notices.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the platform.

3. How Information Is Shared

Data entered within a coaching account (students, batches, questions, payment records, test results) is visible to that coaching institute's owner and, where relevant, its teachers — it is not shared with other, unrelated coaching institutes on the platform. We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

• Infrastructure and hosting providers who store data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities, where required to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CoachClass, our users, or the public.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

CoachClass uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the platform against cross-site request forgery. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data, including hashed passwords, signed and time-limited links for private file access, and access restricted to authenticated, authorised users. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, batch, payment, and test-attempt data for as long as the related coaching account remains active, or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. A coachings can remove a student from their coaching or delete records such as batches, questions, or payment entries, which are then removed from the platform.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You can review and update your name, email, and profile photo from your profile page at any time. You may request deletion of your account, or ask a coachings to correct or remove data they hold about you, by contacting us using the details below.

8. Children's Privacy

CoachClass is used by students preparing for competitive exams, some of whom may be minors. Student accounts on CoachClass are created and managed by a coaching institute or by a parent/guardian on the student's behalf, and we rely on the coaching institute to obtain any consent required under applicable law before enrolling a minor.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of CoachClass after a change means you accept the revised policy.
