CBT Exam Software
CBT Exam Software for Coaching Institutes
Give your students computer based tests that look and work like the real exam: a countdown timer, question palette, mark for review and section tabs, with results scored the moment they submit.
Why Students Need CBT Practice
Many competitive exams, including SSC, Railway and Banking recruitment exams, are now conducted on computers. A student who has only practised on paper meets the on-screen timer, the question palette and the review buttons for the first time on exam day, and loses time getting used to them.
When your institute's regular tests run in a CBT format, students get that practice every week. You set the questions, the timer and the marking scheme; CoachClass runs the exam screen and scores every attempt. You can build the questions in your question bank or see the full flow on our online test software page.
The CBT Screen Your Students Get
Countdown Timer and Auto-submit
The timer runs on screen throughout the test, and the test submits itself when time is up.
Question Palette
Students see at a glance which questions are answered, not answered, not visited or marked for review.
Mark for Review
Save & Next, Mark for Review and Clear Response work the way students will find them on exam day.
Section Tabs
Split a test into sections such as Reasoning, Quant and English, and let students move between them.
Fullscreen Exam Mode
The web console opens in fullscreen, and switching tabs or leaving fullscreen exits the test.
Auto-scored Results
Score, accuracy, rank and section-wise results, shown right after the test or held back until you choose to show them.
CBT Mock Tests for Every Exam
Use the same CBT format for every exam category your institute prepares students for.
CBT Exam Software FAQs
What is CBT exam software?
CBT (computer based test) exam software lets students attempt a test on a screen instead of on paper, in an interface that works like the one used in competitive exams such as SSC, Railway and Banking. CoachClass gives your coaching institute that interface for your own tests, along with automatic scoring and results.
What does the CoachClass CBT screen include?
A countdown timer, a question palette showing answered, not answered, not visited and marked-for-review questions, Save & Next, Mark for Review and Clear Response buttons, and section tabs when the test has sections.
What happens when the time runs out?
The test is submitted automatically when the timer reaches zero, and the student's answers are scored straight away.
Can students switch tabs during the test?
In the web CBT console the test opens in fullscreen. If a student switches tabs or leaves fullscreen during the exam, the test exits automatically.
Can I control when students see their result?
Yes. For each mock test you can show the result as soon as the student submits, or keep results hidden until you switch them on. You can also set passing marks.
Does each section have its own timer?
Not at the moment. Each test has one overall timer. You can split a test into sections, and students move between them with section tabs.
